Artery bypass and amputation of big toe
Hi I had a lower limb and artery bypass and big toe amputation in December. I have just found out that the graph was working but now is not. Does anyone know what I can do now ? Public hospital Surgeon just said come back to ER if I get the sleepless pain.

You may need specialized revision surgery. Pain is one symptom. Is the information about the non union graft coming from the surgeon.

1 ReactionWhat does 'not working' mean? Did it fail, begin to leak, it is now stenosed or collapsed....your body rejecting it....what? I agree with gently that it needs correction, and why this wasn't discussed or rejected by your surgeon is puzzling. This from someone who is well outside his reading genre on this topic.

3 ReactionsI would first get a new Vascular Surgeon before you end up losing your lower limb. Seek a 2nd opinion and hopefully you are in a position to seek medical advice from a larger institution ie Duke, John Hopkins, Mayo, Cleveland Clinic. Not to be judgemental but that response was a tad too cavalier about an issue that could turn very serious. "Do no Harm"
