Does anyone else experience hot burning skin as symptom of Neuropathic
The only symptom I have of neuropathic pain is a hot brewing sensation similar to a very bad sunburn. At this point in time, I don’t know what the cause is. I do have a pinched nerve in my back however, I’ve had that for a long time. The pain is quite bad.

@wmacgill11 Hi. I have been struggling with seemingly almost the exact same condition as you since June last year, and the severity of it has put a stop to my life, yet I have found almost no relief or cause. I did some searching online and you were the only case that described the symptoms in such a similar way, so I'd love if we could chat further about the things we've tried, relief we've found, or just brainstorm anything at all! Thanks!

2 ReactionsI have the same issue too and I have been using prednisone 5 mg daily and seem to help me. I also use Alcura pain & repair lotion.
@nattayaleuenberger Right now, I don't think that my issue is related to inflammation, so theoretically prednisone wouldn't help me. Thanks for the reply though!
Accupuncture really helped me for my idiopathic neuropathy burning. My knees were affected the most and literally, my husband took a heat gun to them and they were warmer than the rest of my legs from mid thigh down. Hope you can fund a good honest practicioner that knows their stuff!

I have a pinched nerve at C7, the back of my hand and index finger were painful with that burning stinging pain. I don’t take any medication for the pain. Last Friday I had acupuncture treatment, today is Tuesday and I’ve only had occasional mild twinges since. I’m scheduled for another treatment in 2 weeks. It has definitely helped.
I also have the burning sensation in my hands, wrists, and up towards my shoulders. My ankles and feet sometimes, too. The description of a "bad sunburn sensation" is exactly how I describe it to people. Having clothing touching makes it hurt worse.
I was prescribed gabapentin - it helps sometimes.
I have iPN.
For the past 2 weeks or so I have had a burning sensation going down my outside left leg,
but only when I'm doing my daily exercise walk.
