Dr. Doug Lucas Has anyone here paid money to work with Dr. Lucas?

Posted by trixiegirl @trixiegirl, Jun 1, 2024

I have been following his Youtube channel, did his free masterclass and have learned a great deal. It is evident that he is highly intelligent, motivated, and ambitious. Today I listened to a 2022 podcast interview with him by a health/fitness professional in the UK (Tony Wingard with whom I am not familiar). I think this was just when the optimal bone health website was getting started. The interview is quite interesting as I learned a lot about Dr. Lucas’s background which I have not managed to find anywhere else. I was surprised to know that he was a professional ballet dancer for 2 years before going on to medical school because of his fascination with the muscular/skeletal systems. He also talks about how he moved from orthopedic surgeon to functional-anti-aging medicine and the influence of his wife who is a registered dietician. After listening to this podcast I do believe his main goal is to heal and teach. I like how he analyzes studies and updates information and recommendations.

To respond to your original question, "Has anyone here paid money to work with Dr. Lucas?"

I just signed up for a six-month 1/1 provider program with Lucas.

It's a very slow start as I need to get 38 labs drawn and also book an appointment with his dietician. Meaning, I can't say whether or not the program is worth it or not. Of course, I sincerely hope it exceeds my expectations.

Did you ever sign up for the program? If so, may I please ask how it went? And what were your results?

Wow! Your progress and hard work are wonderful and impressive. I will check out the yoga poses and supplements. Thank you. Would you be able to tell me what type of hrt you are on now? I need to find someone who will do tests for me to figure out what the cause of my bone loss is. I don’t want to use the drugs.

Do you go to the gym daily? I would like to go solo as you have done but I’m 69 and feel I need more guidance at least in the beginning of working out a good fitness plan. I have to be more careful due to some scoliosis caused by a degenerative lumbar disc grrrr diagnosed over 10 years ago. Therapeutic yoga with weights has always been my go to work out along with walking and lots of work in my yard (no more running or tennis grrr). Thank you again for sharing and congratulations on all your progress. I appreciate your mantra: “I am building stronger bones”.😊🙏

Why no more tennis? I have osteoporosis in my spine and I am playing. Did someone tell you not to play?

I go to a doctor in NYC, but an endocrinologist. Mount Sinai. I think there are more endocrinologists treating osteoporosis.

@njx58 Do you have a wholistic or well informed doctor at Mt. Sinai that you might recommend?

I recently signed up for Dr. Lucas' "Osteocollective" which is an extensive support program. There's so many resources and so much information that I feel a bit overwhelmed and can't yet weigh the benefits. Have not yet signed up for the extensive lab tests and "plan" offered. Trying to weight through what labs I actually need that won't duplicate what I've already have. In general though, I'd say that the breathe of Dr. Lucas' knowledge is extensive and I like that he has a broad team of specialists involved and his podcasts with other professionals are highly informative.

@cndstegle I signed up for Stronger Bones Solution with Kevin Ellis for a year. His program is very informative, marketing is heavy for his supplements and a lot of emails coming in all the time. I am feeling like @fcoop2 in that it is a lot of info and I am feeling overwhelmed. They have weekly Live Calls on a variety of subjects, which is helpful. His program also wants you to do a tremendous amount of testing, which I do not know if I can afford. I am just taking it one day at a time, and will see how much of the program I can work through.

@mcallister1002 wow. Thank you for that. It does seem like an awful lot to process. I have not signed up but still get tons of emails as I had inquired. I want to take supplements as can’t eat ent food required to get adequate calcium etc. I’m a fan of Food revolution, Ocean Robbins. He is a vegan and trust him for some reason. He promotes supplements by Complement. I’m considering. . All pricey. Would like to hear more on yr journey.
