GLP-1's reduce neuropathy?

Posted by cleveland26 @cleveland26, Mar 5 11:44am

I take a GLP-1 for reduction of blood sugar. (It works) My daughter was prescribed it also. She has ulcerative colitis which also causes arthritis. She says her painful arthritis is much reduced after taking the weekly shot. This leads me to ask whether a GLP-1 would reduce neuropathy pain?

UC can cause arthritis?

@mrmacabre I did not word that correctly! The underlying cause(s) of ulcerative colitis also can cause inflammation of the joints. So my daughter gets a double whammy. But the GLP-1 she was recently prescribed does provide some relief from the joint inflammation.
