Minimally invasive surgery for severe stenosis w/spondylolisthesis

Is it possible to have minimally invasive surgery for severe stenosis at L1-2 and L 4-5 with spondylolisthesis also?

Thank you for posting this question. I have the same issues with my spine. Hope we get some wisdom from others. I've been told that rods and screws are in my future if surgery is indicated in the future.

All I can share is that back in 2017, an orthopedic surgeon told me that I had spondylolisthesis at L5-S1. The surgery would surely help with my back pain (even though my two previous MRIs did not reveal such condition. Well, I should have been more cautious and gotten a second opinion. But, no, I went ahead with the surgery... rods, screws di-lithium crystals, etc. It did not and has not ever helped with my pain. Looking back, I don't think that I would have the surgery again. Just my opinion. Perhaps it may help some. Not me. I pray that you will use wisdom in making your decisions.

@blowerk1216 Many. Can't even recall how many. First ones helped a lot... for two weeks. Second set helped for two days... then nothing. These were directed at L5-S1 foramen.

Yes. I have had 3 over the course of 3 years. They worked well. The injections did not hurt. You may want to query the on the process they use to give the injection. I stopped because I have osteoporosis and steroids can effect bone health.

@gravity3 thank you, as I understand it they use an initial local anesthetic before injecting the steroid

@blowerk1216 I have them every 4 months and they have help me immensely. I had a fusion at L4L5 in 2008 and am putting off one at the next level. These injections have helped. Along with core exercises, I highly recommend.

@deedeej6808 thanks for that I had a C3/C4 fusion in 2016, now it appears there’s been an issue related to that surgery. I’m scheduled for an MRI and then, based on the results, it looks like either injections or possibly more surgery!
