Has anyone dealt with prostatic congestion?

I took finessteride for 8 months. After 6 months I lost my errection, my penis shrank and I could not achieve an orgasm! So I no it affects you sexual organs but never had pain like you did. It shrinks you prostate but it also shrinks you penis! I stoped after 8 months so I could starte having an errection again!

Did you try cutting the dose in half? Even lower doses shrink the prostate. Although it may not ease urinary symptoms it will shrink prostate. I wonder if anyone tried that.

I had enlarged prostate decided not to use drugs. My wife gives me prostate massage The first year and a half 2 to 3 times a week. Now about once very 2 weeks. I went from feeling like peeing though a straw to kicking over 5 gallon. What a relief. 59 years old

@mark29 I have experienced some prostate congestion and interested in your post. Not to be too inquisitive ,but I'm curious as to whether you/your wife use some sort of device for the massage or solely digital. I'm approximately 10 years your senior but overall pretty good health with moderate size prostate enlargement. Thanks for your input.

@chuckiepoo1 She used 1 finger for quite maybe 4 months, then the second finger. Which she can really put some pressure on prostate and occasionally with 2 fingers she can gently tap on prostate and drive you crazy with pleasure. Sometimes she'll tap and push with other hand on perineum. Out of this world feeling. It was kinda then when massage went from just peeing easier to adding pleasure. I always liked a vibrator on penis and testicles she teased with that for awhile and inserted that with various settings. Low setting with curved tip directly on prostate and hold it still again tremendous sensation. I always clean myself out there is no mess , I'm positive she would do none of this dirty.
