Hello out there! I have been here before: Need to catch up here, I have two kinds of Lung Cancer. Right Lung is plain old cancer/Left Lung is mesothelioma. I also have Macular Degeneration. Was really sick the whole month of March. Coughing all the time. Day trip to hospital, Received a Zpac, to take, helped some. EMT checked my throat. Thankfully no cancer there. Another Zpac to take. Feel somewhat better but still fill like I have a cold. Having a Pet Scan on May 3rd.Results May 10. May 4 a big blood test. Results May 11 at Kidney Doc. Just feel "Down. I also have a book to write, no energy for that right now. Maybe it's too much rain, not much sun! Don't know what, why or???. I seem to be sleeping ok, but still tired. any idea's? I just turned 84 and dealing with all this stuff. I was diagnosis January 2016. No treatment of any kind yet. and also no pain. Am fortunate for several t(hings.

Janurary 5, 2018, Haven't been here for couple weeks. Have been exceptionaly tired!. I am going to have a cat scan next week, Jan 10. See my doctor on Friday Jan 12 and if all is well have chemo on the 16. They have had me for chemo every 21 days. We had a nice holiday and we kept out of trouble for the most part. We did go and play Bingo at a casino, did not win. One day we will. Bob's only brother that was left died o 12/21 om Bpbose/ We could not go, trip too hard for us, so sent our two youngest to represent us at the celebration of life. Bob's family including him has had all kinds of cancer Bob still gets cancer on his hands that the doc shaves off about every couple of months. Now for me..... I still have not getten sick from the chemo, nor I don't have any pain. Praise God. I am just exceptional tired. So I shall keep up the good work. Have a great week! shortshot80 / Nancy

@shortshot80 Hello Nancy,

It is so good to hear from you. I'm glad that your holidays were pleasant (I'm sure you will win at Bingo soon!). I am sorry to hear of Bob's brother's passing. I'm glad that you sent representatives to the celebration - that was a good decision.

I am sorry to hear of your fatigue. We will be looking forward to hearing about the CT scan report after you see your doctor. I hope that the chemo is working well to treat the cancer.

Is your forehead healing well from the surgery you had a while back?

Take care and happy new year to both you and Bob.

Hi Teresa, shortshot80) I have been not feeling good at all since the blood transfusion. Don't know what is wrong, but I'm off kilter in more ways that one. Seems my eyes are swollen, drippy and I have a hard time seeing items. Computer words, letters I just don't know. I'm really constantly tired d I'm not sure I'm sleeping right either. I have oxygen all night now and that seems to help I guess. Don't know what to do. Nancy

I'm sure that you must be confused if you are not feeling well. What does your doctor say about all of this?

Hi Teresa, I called my doc this moring at 8am, somehow it went to her office phone, she answered and I told her what was wrong and she said to let the foursimide water pill do it work,.Kidney doc put me on 20 mg. I saw my heart doc this afternoon and he has kupped the water pill to 40mg. Perhaps hat will help better.. Kinda odd but a nurse called from my Cancer doc's office at 4;30 and told me I could come there and he might be able to help. (Bull Crap) I won't do that. My cardiologist is helping lots. First he doesn't want any fluid in my lungs as I will be having my pacemaker battery changed sometime in March or first part of April. What has bothered me most is the feeling I have had with the blood transfusion. Haven't felt good since I got it. Told my doc today and he said sometimes people feel funny, not up to par afterward of the transfusion. He sadi the feeling will go away. So Teresa I have lots of fluid to get rid of. shortshot80) Nancy

@shortshot80 Hi Nancy:

I'm glad that your doctors are reaching out to you with some help. I hope that the fluid you are accumulating begins to leave soon, that has to make you uncomfortable.

Will keep praying that you feel more comfortable.

Hi Nancy:

I’m so glad that you posted, you have been on my mind. It sounds like you have had a lot going on. I hope that you begin to recover from all of these difficulties soon. It really is OK to feel sorry for yourself every now and then, I can understand why all of these setbacks would be hard on you. You always have a way of regaining your positive attitude.

I’m so sorry to hear that your daughter-in-law is having problems again. How very difficult for your whole family. I’m sure you are concerned for her. How is your son managing with his wife’s illness? I’ll be sure to pray for you both.

Is your husband managing OK while you are not feeling well?

Take care and keep in touch, Nancy.

Hi Teresa,, I'm glad you wrote......TI have been feeling somewhat over all the drama, of what is going on with me.. My face is so swollen
it is even hard to wear my glasses much worse if I try to put my teeth in. Wouldn't you know that I had scheduled a plummer for the day to put my new dishwasher in. He is supposed to be here soon. I did not forget how to wash dishes in the sink, did that this morning so that there would not be dishes in the sink. Fixed cream of wheat for breakfast. Took all my pills which include LASIK 40mg for the pase four days. Hopefully that will help the swelling of my face. So far it has not. Our daughter will also be here today sometime and she is bringing her computer so she can check on our bills. She pays all of our bills and has been for the last three years. Because I paid a bill twice so am unable to take care of everything. (feeling sorry a little) Oh my the Hell with that! I'm not giving up any more...... shortshot80) Nancy
