My loved one has hallucinations when depressed

My LO has experienced hallucinations during episodes of depression with crying. The first time it was after he got very upset with me--I cannot remember why, since he gets upset with me quite often. I was not at home, and he was crying. He saw my deceased mother and she spoke to him. He then heard his deceased parents also speaking to him. That was a couple of months ago. Yesterday we were watching a movie when he got very emotional and began crying again. He said my mother came to him again, followed by another messenger who he did not know, and thinks it may have been God.

It might be good to contact his doctor for meds.

My husband has Alzheimer's and he sees his parents often. And sometimes he thinks that they just died and we did not have a funeral for them. They died over 20 years ago. My husband also gets very upset. It must be terrible for him not to recognize our home and often he doesn't even recognize me or our grown children.

I am so sorry that your loved one is experiencing hallucinations too. Many of us have so much in common.
