Posted by shortshot80 @shortshot80, Apr 22, 2017

Hello out there! I have been here before: Need to catch up here, I have two kinds of Lung Cancer. Right Lung is plain old cancer/Left Lung is mesothelioma. I also have Macular Degeneration. Was really sick the whole month of March. Coughing all the time. Day trip to hospital, Received a Zpac, to take, helped some. EMT checked my throat. Thankfully no cancer there. Another Zpac to take. Feel somewhat better but still fill like I have a cold. Having a Pet Scan on May 3rd.Results May 10. May 4 a big blood test. Results May 11 at Kidney Doc. Just feel "Down. I also have a book to write, no energy for that right now. Maybe it's too much rain, not much sun! Don't know what, why or???. I seem to be sleeping ok, but still tired. any idea's? I just turned 84 and dealing with all this stuff. I was diagnosis January 2016. No treatment of any kind yet. and also no pain. Am fortunate for several t(hings.

Hi Nancy @shortshot80

What a great celebration and another one yet to come! I'm so glad that you had a nice dinner out. Thanks for sharing about your solution to cold feet - there are many of us who suffer from that - I always wear socks to bed and sometimes still need a heating pad!

Wonder if it's true - that cold hands or feet reflect a warm heart?

I always wear socks to bed. Both feet have neuorphothy (sP) in my feet. They seem to be cold most of the time, and sometimes I get to sleep, but the cold feet wakes me. So far the electric blanket has kept me warm. I have a queen bed, I bought a "full" blanket. I put the quilt on top of my electric blanket. I didn't want the electric one to go over the sides of the bed. Anyway it's working so far for me. My husband sleeps in a recliner. Although I share my bed with my little pure bred chau(dog) Can't spell today. Must have got up too early (5am) today. Came out and got a cup of coffee, fell back asleep in my chair. Hmmm no wonder I'm tired. Although I went to church today. Only a block away, not able to walk it like I used to, I run out of air. (Not good) Nancy

(shortshot80) Hello everyone Today is November 4 and finally have a appointment with me cancer doctor on Monday November 6am. Who is 65 miles away. So have to be on my by 6 am. I expect she will indeed set up te chemo treatments. On Friday Nov. 10 I have to be at a skin doc as I also have cancer on my forhead. It is about two inchs long by 1/2 inche or sowide. I have had this on my forhead since a year ago when I was doing all my falling. To start with I fell at a local gas station by tripping over those cement things you drive against. Anyway I went down really hard on my fake right knee. Then starting in September I fell in the house so many times, anyway I had hit my for head on a rug. That never healed. Just turned to a "small cell cancer. It will be MOHS Micrographic surgery. Perhaps a eye brow Lift. Hmmmmm What we do for beauty! Any way Friday will be a very interesting long day. shortshot80) Nancy....Today is Saturday Nov. 11. I had my forehead surgery yesterday. Oiik most the the day by getting us home by 4pm.
Doc told me to take the bandage off this morning and put vaseline on fairly thick. He said that vaseline is the best for this type of surgery. Two weeks till the stiches come out. Next Tuesday more chemo and blood test. The doc gave me some med to stop stomach sickness. Did not need it..

Hi Nancy @shortshot80

Thanks for always keeping us updated - I'm so glad the surgery on the forehead is over. (I'm a great believer in Vaseline as well!)

I'll be praying that you will be strong and ready for your next chemo and blood test. I'm glad that you have not had any nausea so far.

Teresa
