June 5, (shortshot80) Nancy Well today was the second of five Radiation episodes. Today's treatment was for only about twenty minutes. It's hard to hold my arms above my head for any length of time. The attendants do help me get out of the cocoon that holds me so I don't move. By the time we arrived home, I drank a cup of tea and then a nap for about one hour. My little dog was on my lap, so didn't get into a deep sleep. But did rest. We have to drive about seventy miles one way to the hospital. So not only tired of the drive but the treatment time adds to that. So fatigue is close on treatment days. Yesterday our grandson stopped by, fed him lunch and had a really nice visit. His 36 birthday is on the 7th of June. I had to give him a bad time as we had not seen him since last August. Oh my has it been that long? I'm sorry. Hugs.. He is going to drive to Port Angeles, Washington take the ferry over toVictoria and supprise his oldest sister. That is his BD present. He will have fun. Our oldest great grand son has just joined the Navy. Boot camp in November. He will learn lots of things and even have fun too. Keep you posted. Nancy
@shortshot80 I appreciate your update, Nancy. Keep in touch. We are following your journey and continue to wish you well. Teresa
shortshot80} Here again, Having trouble breathing, Had a cat scan last Monday which showed I have fluid in my lung again. I sound like I have a cold, but that is not the case. I don't know when or if that can get the fluid, but I sure hope so. I was diagnosis January 22, 2016 with the two kinds of lung cancer. One just plain, Left lung is Mesothelioma. Have been pretty good for the past time until the last four weeks. I do not have any pain, but I really have trouble breathing. Is this the way this disease works?? During the surgery on January 2/2016 they "glued my lung back into place. What happens when the fluid pushes the lung up out of place. I have appointment Monday, but Monday seems to be a long way off for me today. I've called but no one has called back as yet. Just wanted to voice some concerns today. I seem to breathe when sitting, but doing anything seems to make me out of breath. So am sitting. Nancy
Hello Nancy, @shortshot80
I am so sorry to hear that you are dealing with difficulty breathing - I can't imagine how difficult it must be to have to stay seated in order to be comfortable. While I don't have any experience with lung cancer, I hope that someone will come along and give you some answers to your questions. I'll tag @llwortman and @lisalucier I hope they can give you some answers to your questions. Praying for you!

shortshot80) I had called my oncologist (have appt with her on Monday) have had about four weeks of breathing problems. This was last Wed, a week ago. Guess I'll stay home till things get better. Nancy
Hi Nancy,
Monday must seem like a long way away. Did you tell your oncologist how uncomfortable you are feeling? I think that Linda may have some relaxation exercises that might help. I'm also bringing in other members for their support and suggestions @burrkay @amws @alicantina1 @merilee and @sistergoldenhair
Nancy, have you found that certain activities or circumstances make the breathing worse? What helps?
Hi Nancy-
How are you doing?
My wife has stage 4 metastatic lung cancer and is doing very well under a treatment of trial drugs treating her for malignant neoplasm after a molecular test to prove her mutation is indeed a HER 2 mutation commonly found in breast cancer.
Have you had a molecular test of your tumors? Very important!
Hi My Friends:
