What were your initial bladder cancer symptoms?

Gross hematuria once in September 2022, then nothing. Urologist thought it possibly due to radiation cystitis from prostate treatment 9 years previously, so I did nothing, rather stupidly and against his advice. A year almost to the day later, gross hematuria once, then nothing. Decided to do something about it and was found to have Ta NIMBC and TURBT and GemDoce followed.

Everyone, was looking for a hernia - which I do have. everyone included: primary dr ( microscopic blood in urine test) , sports medicine dr, hernia surgeon, pelvic floor PT (only one that found the hernia btw) and urologist. I was convinced the hernia was placing pressure on my bladder causing sudden frequent urination ( and it was /is). The last stop was the urologist and she hooked me up with the pelvic floor PT and scheduled a cystoscopy - which identified several lesions, followed by a CT Scan. I had an attempted TURBT 12/22, meaning the surgeon got in and was hesitant about the presentations of the lesions without a confirmation biopsy , completed the biopsy and urethial fogramation only. Results show high grade non muscle invasive. I am now scheduled for TURBT on 2/2. Crazy, you can’t make this stuff up if you tried.
