I went from Ozempic to Monjurno-Help!
Hi, I need some input from anyone that has switched from Ozempic to Monjurno. I was on Ozempic for 2 years. I had lost about 30 lbs in the beginning. I worked real hard at it. It seemed effective in the beginning but offered no hunger suppressant (I am on it for type 2 and weight loss) . I was struggling so I asked to change to Monjurno. My dr. took me of Oz. and now I'm at the lowest dose of 2.5. I feel hungry all the time (wondering if the Oz. worked a little). I know I gained a few lbs in between switching.
Question; Has anyone successfully switched and had positive results? If they didn't have suppression at 2.5, when did they? I am only 3 weeks into it, I am hoping my doctor ups my dose after the month. I have no side effects.

Hi, @melissa123 - I personally switched from semaglutide (Wegovy) to tirzepatide (Zepbound). In answer to your question, it was unsuccessful for me.
I lost about 53 pounds in under one year on the semaglutide (Wegovy) and would hit a definite point beyond which I could not eat more with it. However, I had terrible stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting and chronic diarrhea that got so bad it affected my bedding twice, which was humiliating.
So, I talked to my doctor about switching to tirzepatide (Zepbound). I still had side effects on this shot, but far less. I did not notice any significant appetite suppressant at any point in my dosages. I got to the top dose just before my insurance cut off funding for weight loss shots, and I'd only lost one pound my whole time on the tirzepatide (Zepbound).
I know others who've been very successful losing weight with tirzepatide (Zepbound) and that clinical trial data points to it working more effectively for weight loss than semaglutide (Wegovy). But that was not my personal experience.
Now that my insurance will cover weight loss shots this calendar year, I'm hoping to be back on semaglutide (Wegovy), since I know it works for me, but with a whole lot of guidance on dosage and managing side effects.
I also gained weight in the process of going off one shot, taking nothing for a month to rid my system of it, and then starting another shot at the lowest dosage and having to slowly taper up.
Have you noticed any weight loss so far? Side effects?
