I have had vaginal Lichen Sclerosus for many years with several flareups. I am interested in learning of any successful treatments or recommendations.

@bethdoraine I prefer the regular, green label salve, but rotate among them. They all work great. You'll find one that works best for your skin type I'm sure.

I stopped using steroid cream in January 2023 and tried various creams which all worked for a little while. I then tried homeopathy which I am pleased to say has reduced the inflammation considerably and my energy levels are much better. It is the only success for me so far and I am very optimistic it is going to fully cure my condition.

@hungryhat64 -Hi. Would you expand on what homeopathy regime you are using? We're all seeking something to get relief from this frustrating condition. I went to a "new" doctor (uro/gyno) yesterday. My LP is interfering with my vagina and urethra. I can't tell you how many doctors I've gone to over the last 25+ years and still suffering. I'm very happy that you are getting better. Thanks.

Hi, Homeopathy treats the 'symptons' you are experiencing rather than the 'cause'. Therefore it is a very individual treatment programme through a homeopath. They would ask you about your 'health' history as far back as childhood up to the present day and then they would tailor a treatment for you either in a tincture form (granules dissolved in water) or take directly on the tongue in granule form). Homeopathy can be taken alongside your Medication. Hope that helps.

@andwho I personally never used it. I didn't like the side effects. Each person does need to consider their own situation and make a decision based on their own severity, etc.

@andwho I have experienced it in the past, although not for some time. Same answer....Lisepten after every time I urinate. Just use a little at a time. It really helped me.

I use Clobetasol ointment, I rinse off with warm water after urinating pat dry. I also use Aquaphor on sore area before urinating to help with the burning. My doctor gave me Prednisone for 10 days and that cleared up the sore I had that was hard to get healed up. It worked but I didn't like side effects of medicine, but she wanted to get the inflammation down so it would heal and not scar, and it healed up after few days.

Just curious did they ever do a biopsy on the sore you had? Worried that any sore might be cancerous. LS can turn cancerous 😩

What seems to help the most is lidocaine. But then wears off!
Does lisepten relieve pain & burning?

@andwho Lisepten helps with all my LS symptoms. Like most herbal and natural solutions, it may not provide immediate relief for all symptoms and may take time, but it's worth it. I did feel better the first day, so for me, it really was "immediate". Continued use has been what's worked perfectly, and my symptoms rarely present themselves. I sometimes forget I have it.
