Do taking Statins cause shortness of breath?
I have begun to do research on this topic as I began taking statins for high cholesterol years ago. I have shortness of breath which began after the doctor out me in statins.
A few studies medical studies I have read pointed to the weakening of middle body muscles weakening possibly caused by statin intake. Would like to hear feedback on this.

does anyone have a visceral artery aneurysm?
I have one in my splenic artery and its says that is the most common
I have muscle spasms in the stomach area as well as shortness of breath. My doctor changed my statin. The spasms are a little better.

Statins are not likely to cause shortness of breath.
Check with your doctor to seek other causes.
The may do a check up and chest X-ray.
