@cash298 You mean the Holter? They contact the cardiologist who ordered it. Example: It was 3 years ago. I sent mine back two Mondays before Thanksgiving. Had a syncope the day before (Wednesday) Thanksgiving. Friday morning, the day after Thanksgiving, cardiologist called my husband with the results. Do not know if the results came on late Wednesday or that morning. Hope that answers your question and I sincerely hope the results are known faster for you.
So they told me yesterday that they have my monitor report but wouldnt tell me anything else of course, and way its all going it will be a month before they ready it. ugh.
@hillbilly1065 why did it take 4 months? This stuff all seems urgent to me.

1 Reaction@hillbilly1065 so, if you get an ICD, is this permanent??
Yes it is permanent. Mine was not an emergency at the time. Prior to I had a ablation and my heart was back on rhythm. We had discussed the ICD before the ablation and my cardiologist felt it was necessary.

1 Reaction@cash298 My cardiologist called my husband with the results over the phone when he read the report. I am not understanding what there is to prepare/ready. Perhaps it was more urgent for me because I was hospitalized at the time - this was the second syncope in as many months - it was prudent that I do not injure myself further from the falls. That it was a rather scary time is an understatement.
@cash298 I've known two women who got it removed. One had a heart transplant.

1 ReactionMany times. They are a miracle of our modern medicine. It will tell your doctor what your heart is doing while you sleep or even when you are unaware of it. They're a good thing.

1 Reaction@walkinggirl I ended up not getting an ICD, that’s a positive thing for now, but now I have deletes a UTI. I am waiting for treatment options, have only ever in my life had UTI nice, over 30 yrs ago, I think it’s related to Camzyos, there is a study indicating a possible link but no concrete evidence, but I’m sure it is what caused mine.
