CAR-T after MM relapse 13 months post-ASCT

Hi everyone, looking for some advice on pursuing CAR T after a fairly quick (13 month) relapse of multiple myeloma light chains numbers trending up post stem cell transplant. I’m feeling strong and back to a near-normal life so frustrating to feel like I’m starting another arduous process. Would love any success stories on CAR T in this type of relapse situation or any alternative paths people have succeeded with. Thank you so much!

My husband celebrated his one-year anniversary post CAR T on November 5. He battled with CLL for 13 years, exhausting any further hope for treatment, until a clinical trial was available to him in Canada. He is doing so well. He has more energy now, at age 77, then he did five years ago. It is really miraculous.

Hi @jrbris23 - Just wanted to add a note from my research when CAR-T was being discussed for my CNS lymphoma. Unfortunately I was not able to receive CAR-T. But I learned that CAR-T therapies consist of different agents so it is good to know what agents are used in your treatment facility.

Someone may have a good result with a particular CAR-T regimen while you may be receiving something else. This was a helpful explanation from cancer.gov on some of the CAR-T agents being used. Sending best wishes for a successful treatment.
