Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) - Introduce yourself and meet others
Let's talk about living with rheumatoid arthritis.
As moderator of the Autoimmune Diseases group, I noticed that several people were talking about RA, but those conversations were scattered throughout the community. I thought I would start this discussion to bring us all together in one place.
Let’s grab a cup of tea, or beverage of choice, and let's chat. Why not start by introducing yourself?

@rivergirl8243 Hello! See you’ve been busy posting! That’s great. But, what made you pick this thread if you don’t have arthritis? What ‘arthritis problems’ do you have?
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis years ago
Hi, my name is Debbie. I have RA, Diabetes 2, Fibro and Osteo, I was on methotrexate and it didn't agree with me. I take melocicam, an anti inflammatory and it works for me. I have to live a spontaneous life as the fatigue that I experience rules my life. If I do anything stenous the next day I am bedridden. I have multiple spurs in both knees and they lock up at night. I get up and literally have to apply my hands to my knees to straighten them out. It hurts like the dickens and is happening just about every night.
@deborahfrank123. I just took my first Reclast infusion for my Osteoporosis I was afraid of side effects but I didn't have any I take Meloxicam also for my O.A.
Hi all, just trying to figure out what my problem is, I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis years ago around 2006 by a Rheumatologist, I also have degenerative Scoliosis. Now, my balance is off, my left hip gives me problems and I'm plagued with fatigue. I've had a workup at Mayo Clinic by a neurologist, Nothing shows. They told me "no medical reason", for my symptoms, so I came home. They also said the degenerative scoliosis wasn't the problem, so is it the Osteoporosis? I understand you can't legally tell me what is going on, but maybe some of you have had some of my symptoms.
@rivergirl8243 Hi I have Osteoporosis , fibromyalgia ,2back fractures the one in my lower back gives me a lot of pain ,fatigue can't walk a lot The only way you can tell how bad your Osteoporosis is by a Dexa scan When did you have your last one? My L hip hip hurt me a lot of trouble but my Rheumatologist ordered a Reclast infusion 15 minutes and I was done my hip doesn't hurt now the infusion is only once a year
Sounds like me ... I live in southern Arizona. I don't have a rheumatologist, I think that will be my next step. Mayo did a bone density on me in June 2020 thanks for the feedback.
