I also am feeling sad. I’ve only been on it a week and I wasn’t sure,if it was because I have had enough of this pain and controlling my everyday routine. I was taking lots of Tylenol and now my Liver levels are 3rd higher. So I am dealing with g with that and pre diabetic
So no sugar,caffeine and so much more. But, I will be fine.
Gabapentin didn't help me- did a short trial at a lower dose. Turned out I actually need both hips replaced and that diagnosis was delayed because my hip pain kept being attributed to fibro (I actually didn't make any further investigations myself). Let that be a lesson- sometimes there is an additional problem.
@bvpepper of course -maybe more needed than for those of us who have a variety of pain specialists. Never found a doctor who specialises in fibro though
Gabapentin did not work for me. Also Celebrex did not work. Of the 30 to 50 different meds (?) that I have had to take over the last 3 decades for ME CFS , most didn't work in a positive way at all. Other types of meds also don't work - hypertension meds for example. I take zero prescription meds currently, and few OTC meds too. Plus, I am not healthy enough to visit a medical professional, so they wouldn't renew 'scripts anyway.
Fibromyalgia headaches: I’m getting these daily now that winter is here. Has anyone else successfully treated the tension/band headaches?
Thanks!
Sandra

@susan3289
I'm 58 years old and I already can say that getting old is not for sissies! I'm speaking to myself here.
My cousin lives in a small town in NC, and specialists in fibromyalgia are rare if not nonexistent! Can she get in on this discussion?
@nancecandance
Oh
Oh,I absolutely agree!! I am 59 and the past year has been a ride, that I want to get off and enjoy a new one !

I take 2-3 a day. I also take Meloxicam, Tramadol and Elmiron for pain.

@haarvee
Consider trying low-dose naltrexone, it's helped me a lot and has no side effects.
Thanks @daisy17 - I am researching it.
