Has anybody ever had the t e e procedure to see if there was a blood clot in your heart? Has anybody ever had cardioversion, my doctor once told me not to be put to sleep getting my teeth pulled, but now, wants me to have this procedures that require being put to sleep, it worries me, can you comfort me? Thank you

Had 5 cardioversions over a few years. None of which worked. I came out of anesthesia during one, trust me, you don't want to do it without anesthesia.
Had an ablation after #4, which also didn't work, seeing Dr to schedule another ablation soon. At this point frustrating, but from what I understand, not unusual for trying to tame AFib. Good luck!

My wife had a tee about a month and a half ago at Mayo in Jacksonville. The team was great. She was feeling groggy afterwards. She was not particularly hungry and a little fatigued, but felt fine by the evening. She had that procedure as an alternative to an MRI because of her sensitivity to contrast.

I have had both. The Tee is a trans esophageal procedure. It is really nothing to worry about because you are in the very best place you could be during the procedure with the Dr and his crew knowing exactly what to do if something happens which chances are won’t. The cardioversion also is nothing to worry about and brings your rhythm back to normal. You’ll feel so much better. Please don’t worry, both procedures will be simple for you. You will not even have any post op symptoms. Maybe a small sore throat which goes away quickly. I also was so worried before I had them done. But I assure there is no need to. Best of luck.
