We are all different. I use a nebulizer as needed with 3% saline when I have mucus. Otherwise I just use my 3 inhalers as maintenance. My 3 inhalers are pretty good for me and I don’t find the nebulizer really adds anything, except when I’m having a flare up.
People that have low inspiratory force may find nebulizers help get medicine deeper into the lungs than they could with inhalers. It’s good to discuss with our providers.

@lizjlb when I was in the hospital 3 yrs ago, I took trelegy & they took me off of it & gave me advair & Spiriva & use the duo neb..fyi they are both $47.00 co pay each, monthly..OUCH!

Reading all these negative comments about Trelegy seems crazy. I was on Symbicort for years and still needed oxygen most of the time. My doctor switched me to Trelegy and now I only use Oxygen at night. It works great for me. We definitely are all different.
I mostly only use rescues when I catch an infection although last summer’s bad air quality caused me to do nebulizer a bit more. My pulmonologist’s favorite for rescue is Airsupra which I have success with but it still doesn’t do the trick like Albuterol via nebulizer for me.

@nancyg25 yes everyone’s body is different everyone’s levels of COPD are different what works for some don’t work for others. I started with trelegy and wasn’t getting any relief so I was put on breztri which definitely help but done the road not so much then an add on medication through a nebulizer helped so I was taking both but now unfortunately I got the breathing issues again, now i gotta look into another medication

4 Reactions@taipan so a steroid dorsnt help you? only diff between Anoro and Trelegy is the stetiod. you actually do better on an inhaler without the steriod ?
