Do you experience dizziness with CKD?
I was diagnosed with stage 3B kidney disease a few months back. I am now suffering from dizziness. It’s slmost everyday. My doctor told me to drink a lot of water and stay away from salt. I’m wondering if here is more I can do.

I have CDK4 and have begun to have dizzy spells. I have 2 cotton wristbands with a plastic ball on each that were recommended to me when I went on a cruise in case of dizziness. They work like a charm anytime I get dizzy for any reason. If you'd like to try them, they're in the pharmacy dept. Follow simple directions. I hope they work for you too.

1 Reaction@ayshe2025 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Which Dr is telling you it's not related to CKD??? What does your nephrologist say? Have you had the discussion about dialysis, when you might start, what type of dialysis you will be considering, etc.?
As the function of your kidneys declines, it can manifest in many different ways. Fatigue, and dizziness can indeed be part of that symptom list. From the National Kidney Foundation about Stage 5: https://www.kidney.org/kidney-topics/stage-5-chronic-kidney-disease-ckd

3 ReactionsNot uncommon to have vertigo with CKD.
Getting up slowly and Dramamine really helps.
@gingerw

Hi Maggie
Drs gave me prochloperazine 5mg 1 to be taken 3 times a day but still dizzy with it
@ayshe2025 You're welcome.!Have you been set up to see a nephrologist, yet? That is a specialist who handles kidney issues only. In my experience, they should have already done this for you! Personally, I wouldn't wait until January. Seeing that you already have an appointment, don't cancel it. Instead ask them to place you on a cancellation list in case another patient cancels and creates an opening for you. You could also see if there are any openings earlier, and express your concern over the increasing dizziness. Again, just my humble opinion.
