Yes at Mayo Jacksonville. All Mayo's are outstanding and you will get expert and expeience care.

There are many many medication to help you. Several procedures if felt needed by your doctors like ablation (and yes I had one on RV to stop PVCs).

I have a LBBB not a RBBB but both are an electrial problem where normal electrical current is blocked and your heart has to find a different route (per my EP).

You did not mention if you are seeing a electrophysiologist (EP). If not you should. They are experts in the electrical functions of the heart.

I have also been diagnosed with Diastolic Dysfunction - mine is Grade 3. My doctors don't say much about it - other than I have it, a stiffening of the heart due to aging. Having researched it, I recognize what it is. However, I don't know what can be done about it. BSW also mentions having AFIb. I had persistent AFib for several years. It always lasted MONTHS, not hours or days, until having cardioversions. Finally in August I had an AV Node Ablation at my EP's recommendation. Unfortunately (according to my Pacemaker), I am back in AFib after 2 months. It is my understanding that the AFib has nothing to do with the Diastolic Dysfunction. Is there anyone with DD, Grade 3? If so, has it gotten better - and if so, how? Thanks!

Hi @bsw, I am glad to see you create this conversation on Connect. @jc76 has provided good information, and as you wait for others to comment you may want to check out other discussions. I did a search for Diastolic Dysfunction from the homepage and found several: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/

It is interesting that both you and @bettycll also deal with AFIB.
- Mayo Clinic states online, diastolic dysfunction “may also be associated with atrial fibrillation.” There must be some type of connection between them.
- Very Well Health describes Diastolic Dysfunction as, “the incomplete filling of the heart's ventricles, less blood will get pumped out in the next heartbeat. The blood that’s returning to the heart can "dam up" inside the organs. https://www.verywellhealth.com/diastolic-dysfunction-and-diastolic-heart-failure-p2-1746172

What symptoms are you having? Which Mayo location are you being treated?
