Anyone have Squamous cell cancer and where?

I have a lesion on my left side of my face just below my ear. Does surgery help or is there a medical cream I can use to avoid surgery?

@valeriesgallery, welcome. Have you been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma? Or are you currently getting tested? How are you doing?

I`m having surgery on November 3rd for 2 of the spots and then on November 10th for the 3rd. All I know is that 2 of the spots are basal cell carcinoma and the 3rd is Squamous cell carcinoma.

I had a squamous cell carcinoma tumor on my lower lip. Surgically cut out on July 30 - I had to go under full general anesthesia. Clean margins on first pass so that was good. Lip healed sickly. Then the pathology report - turns out the tumor was deep and had invaded the nerves (perineural invasive squamous cell carcinoma). So now I’m receiving radiation to my lower lip. 30 total treatments - my last one is this Friday - yay!!
I had a full body PET/CT before treatment started and it showed no spread. Will have scans and full body dermatology exams every 3 months for the foreseeable future. Squamous cell carcinoma tumors can be very bad!

@colleenbl, just checking in. How are you doing now that radiation is complete? When is you next follow-up?

@colleenyoung thanks for asking - radiation completed on 10/17, so I’m about 10 days out and my lower lip is about 90% back to normal. Next is MD checkup, scan and full body dermatology check - all in January
Still waiting on my initial Signatera test results. Should be any day now

I have been diagnosed in June with Squamous cell carcinoma, it was on my left shoulder. Last month I had a diagnosis of Melanoma on my right shoulder. Today I received another squamous cell diagnosis on my right arm. I am a 7 year ovarian cancer survivor. Don’t know if it is relative.

@malanna that’s interesting- I am a 15 year ovarian and cervical cancer survivor. Dx with perineural invasive squamous cell carcinoma in lower lip in July. Surgery to remove tumor and just finished 30 radiation treatments.

@colleenyoung 24 October appointment with Dermatologist, it was still blistered but healing. To day 28th it appears to look better but some blisters still present. Been applying Econazole Nitrate with Mupirocin for the last 8 days?
