All I can tell you is a positive attitude plays a big part in healing. Getting and keepng the inflammatory things out of my body has paid off big time. Some people are just eager to get onto CBD's and medications instead of taking the route of cleansing their body and their mind. A challenge was put down in front of me regarding my pain and i took it on and it has paid off. Attitude; teaching hospital; anesthesiologist specializes in pain management...no sugar, carbohydrates, processed foods,; followed by eating healthy. Good luck to you!

@chatnoirkc please do not give up. There are very many sympathetic and knowledgeable people on this site. Consider giving us some more detailed information so we can try to help. If nothing else, it will give you a chance to vent. I’m so sorry you feel this way❤️

Good morning, my name is Candy, I live in Massachusetts and I just found this way of connecting with others in chronic pain. I cannot suffer in silence anymore. Thank you for welcoming me and I’m hoping to make some new friends and learn more information. Never stop learning, educating myself has been my only saving grace. I’m hoping to learn from others and I’m hoping some of my experience can help others as well.

That’s why I’m here too, and for support. It’s a very lonely disease. Gentle hugs for a great day.

I am a 78 year old woman and I have had a lot of medical issues my whole life. I am writing now about a pain in my right arm and hand. I guess it is a spinal nerve. I have had it off and on for 35 years. I have taken gabapentin, lyrica and tegretol (at that time I also had trigeminal neuralgia). Right now I am taking nothing. The pain starts in my shoulder and ends in my thumb under the nail bed. I have dealt with neurologists off and on over the years about it. I have found that slathering Voltaren on my nerve from my thumb to my elbow and leaving it for at least 30 minutes really helped lessen the pain. The neurologist said to not do that again but it was a lot more helpful than anything else I have taken. Has anyone used Voltaren in this way? Why did the neurologist tell me not to do that? Thanks.

I just started using a cream called Penetrex. 2-3 times a day religiously for 10 days, then as needed. Miracle cream and I have tried everything. It helps me so so much. Not too pricey, because, well let’s face it, things that work cost more. Amazon. Maybe give it a looksee 🙃

My name is Amy, I’ve been living with fibromyalgia for 15yrs and I also have CRPS in both of my feet. I have tried 11 different kinds of treatments and have yet to find relief. My PM Dr is a jerk who has horrible bedside manners and has had me on the same dose of norco(7.5/325) for 5yrs now. I’m completely tolerant to it and have to take all my daily pain meds at once just to barely take the edge off my pain. He refuses to increase my dosage or change my pain medication. So here I sit just existing😔I can no longer do anything I enjoy or plans. All my family and friends have abandoned me💔. So I thought I’d try this support group in hopes of meeting people in similar situations to give me some hope

I completely understand. Same treatment, no different. Just existing. I have spinal stenosis, 5 ruptured discs and I need my neck operated on because my spinal cord is being pinched and cutting off the flow of fluid. It takes me 3 hours on the morning, just to get moving. I have to get up at 4. I watch my grandson who will be 3, my daughter and her fiance can’t afford daycare, I’m disabled, but I don’t have a choice. Life is hard. I get it.

@fitzcan1970 What exactly are you using Penetrix for? I have tried multiple nerve creams that do absolutely nothing for the burning in my feet. Have you tried Mama Bear Oasis? Also did nothing for me. Glad you found something that works for you.
