Referral made. How do I follow up to get status of referral?

In August my doctor made a referral to Mayo Neurology Department for Autonomic Reflex Testing. How do I contact them to get the status of my referral and get this moving? I would like a phone number where I can reach out. Thank you.

Oh thank you for reaching out Janell. Unfortunately Mayo Clinic Neurology has denied my referral. My Neurologist then referred me to the only specialist in Wisconsin who deals with autonomic disorders and he is booked out over a year and is not taking appointment requests at this time. I feel dead-ended at this point.

You mentioned you have been to several specialities that has provided no answers from quite a bit of testing. I guess I am wondering if Neurology is the appropriate place for you to initially be seen.

What feedback did Mayo Neurology provide as to why it is not appropriate for them to see you? What recommendations do your local specialists have?
