@luvrofthelord I have Medicare part D through Wellcare.

That has helped me immensely! (I'm 56 - was 135 now 120lbs, 5' 4") I also started hormone replacement therapy through midi.com and THAT has been a game changer. I have an estrogen patch, along with 100mg progesterone at night. It's like an anti-anxiety cure and sleep aid. I gave the CPAP 6 months and it would strangle me in my sleep.

I believe the best way to go is to be on Medicare then pick a secondary provider. STAY AWAY from the Advantage plans etc. Just pick up a secondary to your existing medicare. I have a deductible as well and because I am on high cost COPD medications meet it by February and don't pay anything after that.

@gravity3 has she had a sleep study to check for obstructive sleep apnea. That seems to be the only way right now to get Zepbound with medicare. I’ve been on compound for a year and a half. It wasn’t ok’d when I started for sleep apnea. Good luck with your friend!

The FDA approved Zepbound for sleep apnea . Medicare doesn’t approve it for wt loss. You have to word your prior approval carefully. Anyway—- I am on it for sleep apnea

@3oakley2
First have your Dr make sure it’s for sleep apnea not wt loss
Dr has submit to your Medicare plan d
The plan D company doesn’t have to covered
Search for another Plan D

Yes, I am on Medicare and am taking Zepbound for sleep apnea. ( covered by Medicare) I have been on it for several months and have lost about 15 pounds - I am overweight. I also have PMR and am very pleased that this Rx has helped my inflammation tremendously. I am moving better, sleeping better - better oxygen level. I have no significant side effects. I don’t know if I will ever be able to stop the cpap machine, but am thankful for the weight loss and increased energy.

@tls85 Lilly Direct with no insurance costs $349 at the 2.5mg starting dose for a vial-4 doses. You can go to Lilly Direct and check out prices with and without insurance. Sometimes without is less for some on the lower doses. I do hear they will be having higher doses at a later time.
