Anyone been prescribed Ohtuvayre (new med)? Your experience?
Has anyone been prescribed the new COPD medication by their treatment team....Ohtuvayre? Just wondering if it now active, how it is effecting patients and how well it does/doesn't work

@kndaustina week is hardly enough time. The manufacturer suggests 5-6 weeks minimum.
I am on it and noticed the difference after weeks.
@mrmover I noticed a big change maybe in a week I was so happy but now 4 months later i started getting out of breath again told my pulmonary doctor he wants me to still continue and in December I get a catscan and see him in January, then see what happens. I feel it’s crazy continuing buying the medicine if I’m winded but I’ll give it a little longer then I’ll tell the doctor why buy and continue if I’m like this
Anyone on ohtuvayre longer then 4 months? I been on it and in the beginning it was fantastic it was a big game changer for me but now 4 months later I’m back to being shortness of breath, not sure maybe my body got used to to it, not sure if maybe ill change to something else
@guslogan, how are you doing on Ohtuvayre so far?
Just started this (10/08/2025) medicine (Ohtuvayre), no results of any kind as of yet, I am praying that this will work....soon !! I'm to the point where I can barely do anything, I just would like to be able to function somewhat normally, I know I'll never be able to breathe like when I was 24-25 yrs. old again, but just to be able to run the vacuum, or make my bed, without almost collapsing would surely be a blessing !!
I will say prayers for everyone who suffers with this miserable affliction 🙏

1 ReactionI was taking it twice daily but cut down to once. I started having panic attacks with blurred vision. I will be discussing with pulmonary doctor soon. Alot of issues are dealing with gas regulating of my blood stream.

1 Reaction@suzyq61, O dear, that is so disheartening, thanks for posting, so I don't get my hopes up to much !! I was on trelegy before this, for quite awhile and it worked so good....til it didn't 😥 now I've been on 3 different meds trying to find something that works, I'm losing hope at this point, maybe I'm to far gone, I just don't know anymore 😥 I pray 🙏 for nothing but the best for you 🤗

2 Reactions@hazely just give it time like i mentioned it helped in the beginning for me but everyone is different our bodies react differently to medications, this one may be the one for you. I was on trelegy too but i felt no difference so im on breztri. I started doing upper pulmonary exercises its half hour a day and that seems to be giving me some relief, we gotta just keep trying every thing we can, i hope the medication helps you
