@pamelaaci@ccarl my pulminary doc stopped my duo neb. said it shouldnt be used with other LAMA brvsuse too much of same med. told me to only use albutetol.
@kndaustin71 i have insomnia for 2 yrs but the steroid inhalers are not the culprit as I have bern on them for over 20 yrs. let us know how Trazadone works. I have onset insomnia and understand Trazadone is mostly to keep you asleep. i take ambien snd it does put me to sleep eventually but causes sleepiness the next day.
I did not use the trazodone as when I did some reading I found that it can effect serotonin and possibly cause a serotonin storm. I had told the Dr this, but perhaps he is unaware of how some of the prescription drugs he uses effects patients. Did the sleep study on 10/3 - it takes 10-15 days for results so now I will be into my 9th month of no sleep. I am truly getting desperate for an answer after bringing it to the attention of 3 different physicians and and an NP. So what is it going to take? I might be a nicer person if I could get a good 7-8 hours of sleep.
Also got the news (and had to ask for it) that my FEV1 dropped by 2 points since 1/2025.....no discussion about it. I am a gym rat 3x/week, biking 3 miles 3x at each visit. Exercise with free weights on the days I don't go to the gym and walk 1000 ft in about 9 minutes. Walk study scheduled in 12/3 so I'll be working hard for that. Would love to know how to calculate the predicted outcome but was too rushed through my last appointment to ask the questions. Just don't see much point!

@kndaustin71 i have insomnia too. 2 yrs. nothing works great but ambien usually gives me 6 hrs of sleep at least. but makes me drowsy next day but atleast i do sleep some. going to try Ramelteon soon. looking for something that puts me to sleep and does not make me sleepy next day.
Tried Breztri when I didn't think my Trelegy was still working. Breztri did not help me...I have chronic bronchitis, COPD and emphysema. Went back to Trelegy...breathing better again. I believe the wildfire smoke really affected me this summer.
@laurinhb. Hi, I was on Trelegy for a long time and it worked absolutely great for me......til it didn't !!!! stopped taking it, and now I can't find anything at all that works :'( I am so disheartened, I loved my Trelegy, I was actually able to function pretty normal, now I can barely make it across the kitchen, I'm so glad for you that it's working for you again, I pray for the best for you 🙏
I have been on it for a long time. I find it isn't holding for the 12 hrs as much as time has moved along. The last time I spoke with the specialist he said it is the newest and hasn't seen any that would be any better. Have a phone consult next Thurs and will rehash this as maybe I should be having a Neb or something. I didn't have any side effects at all. Worked great at the beginning. All the best to you
@caseymydog1226 I’m on it almost a year , it definitely helped me but down the road i needed more so my doctor put me on ohtuvayre and it’s used through a nebulizer, I was so thrilled it worked great my breathing really improved, but now months later my breztri isn’t holding the 12 hours and have been having some breathing issues. It’s almost like when you first use it’s great then maybe the body gets use to it and doesn’t work that well no more. I asked my doctor about trying something else he said hold off because I get a cat scan in December then see him Jan 10.
I found Breztri to improve my symptoms over the Trelegy that I had been taking. Still using it in conjucntion with Ventolin. Stage IV COPD, with Chronic Bronchitis and just recently started the 02. What can I say! It is what it is!
I have had terrible insomnia for the past 6 months that has gone unaddressed until today. This Pulmo Sleep Dr has recommended Trazadone 50 mg for sleep. Has anyone experienced insomnia secondary to the inhaler usage as both ventolin and Breztri have compounds that could act as stimulants making sleep a little difficult especially if used in the evening.
@kndaustin71 yeah i hardly sleep it’s terrible, every one says it’s the breztri the albuterol and im also on ohtuvayre. I’m going to ask my doctor about trazadone, did the doctor make you do the sleep study to be on it?
you should not need a sleep study for a prescription for Trazadone. If your physician is a Sleep Physician then he may ask that you have one. The home study is the easiest and not a problem at all. If he/she wants a sleep study then more than likely they are looking at the possibility that maybe you have Sleep Apnea which is causing your insomnia
@lizjlb I don’t use duo neb.
Does anyone use Breyna inhaler
