Vaginal burning: What could it be?
I am a 67 year old who in the last two months have a severe burning sensation in my vaginal area. I have been to every specialist and no one knows why. I have had a CT, Ultra sound, and been examined numerous times. There are no findings to what is causing this pain. I have no underlying medical conditions. Prior to this I was extremely healthy. Now I am in pain management and desperately want to be off pain medication and find a Dr who can diagnose what is happening to cause this burning. Any suggestions would be extremely welcome.

@health77 what was the problem if I may ask?
Do you have itching with the burning sensation also? A feeling of “cuts?” If so, ask your gynecologist if it’s Lichen Sclerosus (aka LS). A biopsy of the area can confirm.
I truly hope you find an answer soon. Best of health to you.
Very late to this post, just found these support groups. Women complaining of pain and being pushed aside is far too common. Throw in a vagina and beyond baby-making years? There is so little research on women in general when it comes to medicine. I'm waiting for the day that a doctor slaps me out of my "hysteria", as they did in the old days. I have chronic back pain. Burning in the vaginal area, for me, I've deduced comes when I pee and I'm especially dry. What can I do about it? Nothing I've discovered.
Have your doctor check for Paget's disease and get yourself a Bidet. It helps with urine burning
