Tube feeding issues causing reflux

Seem to be in a vicious circle of tube feeding Kates Farm formula (started in late January) from Jevity and Hubbie have cycles of reflux causing vomiting, then, aspiration, then pneumonia or low oxygen from it all. My husband is a throat cancer survivor and started late term effects from radiation a few years later. He now has neuropathy, bronchiectasis, low iron, can’t swallow and exhausted all the time. Seems like one thing after another..and hard to get to right doctor for answers! Anyone have the same issues and get to a doc for answers?

I could have written your problem. I am in the exact same place. Throat cancer survivor after chemo and radiation. Caused nerve damage and not able to swallow. Feeding tube put in over 2 years ago. Have severe reflux that occurs about an hour after feeding. Have tried everything you mentioned. Am planning on fundoplication surgery to hopefully stop the reflux.

Do you have a date for surgery for Nissen fundoplication surgery or is this an option you are currently looking into?

Had a date but due to other issues, we will have to reschedule. Haven’t set a date yet.
