I am looking for an exercise video to do.
Hi, I am a senior woman and am looking for an exercise video that I can safely do. I have had both knees and hips replaced abut I want to stay as fit and active as possible. What I am looking for is the actual name of the video. I hope someone has some advice for me. Thanks.😊

1 Reaction@hopeful33250 I agree! The yes2next videos are great! My mom and I (she is 91 and I am 64) have done them together. The mother/daughter pair doing the videos are probably closer to 50s/80s. I enjoy doing these videos because you can step up your workout by following the daughter or go a little slower by following the mother. They are very well done!

2 ReactionsPlease consider any video by Teresa (Macdonado, Bone Smart Pilates) who is a PT and a former ballerina who got osteoporosis early on and designed an exercise program that pulled her out of the condition. She has a few, maybe several videos to choose from.

2 Reactions@katgirl Here are some links to free videos on youtube.
The first one is Brick House Bones full body exercise from Lisa Moore, who is a physical therapist who specializes in osteoporosis exercises. I would say her audience is women in their 40s, 50s and 60s. I enjoyed doing this one because she did a warmup, full body workout and a cool down. You will need some weights (or none if starting out).
This next one is from Margaret Martin, who is also a PT. I think her target audience is a little older.
I have exercised to videos from both women. I change up my routine to work out different muscles. Both are very encouraging and also incorporate balance in their workouts.
I hope these work out for you: let me know how you like them.

Any exercise for osteoporosis should avoid twisting of the spine. I have not yet viewed the video you mentioned; however, from the photos, it appears that there is some twisting of the spine. It is important to adjust those exercises so that you are not twisting the spine.

1 ReactionI am taking a class called Healthy Bones. It is offered nationwide - I think mostly at Senior Centers - it is worth looking into.
