Ladies: How are you managing vaginal atrophy as you age?
TO THE LADIES ONLY: As I got older I started developing vaginal atrophy. Then I started developing open splits on my labia that were extremely painful. I went to urgent care one weekend and was prescribed vaginal estrogen medicine. It did the trick but I didn’t want to use estrogen. I went to a GYN that recommending organic coconut oil to use externally only. This was a few years ago and it has worked perfectly. I have never had another problem. At all. I wanted to pass along a natural inexpensive solution to vaginal atrophy.

My gynecologist suggested i try Revaree by Bonafide. It's the same type of product that you use. I've just started using it so can't say yet if it is helping. I'll keep RepaGyn in mind to possibly try it.
I use coconut oil every day. We've tried it a few times during intercourse and it works great as a lubricate! Plus your partner gets the added bonus of a little flavor lol I hopes this information helps answer your questions
Lose of estrogen is directly linked to a women's vaginal health. Also some women lose or increase testosterone levels also both of which have a huge impact on hormone changes in a women's body. Not just in the brain
The magic of coconut oil!! Love this. ❤️
I did look into coconut oil as a replacement lubricant and it seems that it’s not advisable for internal use, totally safe for the external areas, it goes on to say that there’s a risk of infection similar to a yeast infection.
It has been great for me and allowed me to not need anything else, but, I haven’t had sex in decades, so I can’t speak to that. My GYN recommended it and I was pleasantly surprised that it worked great. I didn’t ask her about internal use, but certainly any GYN could answer that. My GYN, associated with the prestigious Woman’s Hospital, will not prescribe hormones at all.
I agree. I was saying that when a woman starts going through menopause our hormone levels drop and when that starts happening it directly our vaginal area. I didn't say anything about organs producting said hormones. I said that fact that hormone levels dropping is directly linked to vagina health
Coconut oil can be used as a lubricate and moisturizer inside your vagina. It's completely safe. I've been using it for a little over a year and I haven't had any uti's or a yeast infection since! I hope this helps
It is completely safe to use inside also. It was highly recommended by my gyno. She also said it was a much better and more natural choice than prescribed creams.
Mine said the same.
