@keggebraaten Great link, Kristin, it answers a lot of questions. At this point since I have put two things out on facebook about donating organs I would hesitate to add a third.
This cracked me up: "MYTH: As a recipient, I may develop personality traits or likes/dislikes of my donor through their organ donation.". A week or so after coming home I was sitting in the Family room with the TV on to a sports network -- my husband had apparently left it on and forgotten that. I was not paying attention to the TV but my husband came in and saw the sports show on and immediately figured I must have a male liver!

If my husband ever saw me watching sports, he would think his real wife was abducted by aliens and someone replaced me on my couch cushion, so I completely understand your husband's concern. 🙂

@keggebraaten I guess you and I are of similar minds. I feel sort of badly when I cannot enjoy watching sports with him. For that reason most years he flies west for Superbowl weekend to watch it on TV with our son (he skipped two years due to my condition. One year our daughter came and stayed here for the weekend). Of course being from southern NH and both originally from the Boston area it was HUGE deal that the Patriots won in such a historic game.

Hello Rosemary,

I am new to this blog (tonight is my first night). I am on the Mayo Kidney transplant list and in the process of trying to find a live donor. Earlier this evening when I logged on there was a post by someone who was willing to donate a kidney. Since I am new to this site I have not been able to find that post so I can try to connect with this potential donor. Could you help me find this individuals post?
