Talk to your pharmacist and get the insert. I was not told about all the side effects and neither my girlfriend with ms. When we started haven’t problems with our memory and forgetfulness I was taken off of lyrical and so was my friend with MS. I just live in constant pain. I have over 5” drug allergies.

Hi
I’ve been on gabapentin but switched to pregabalin which is better for brain fog and pain for me. I do have a constant headache across my temples and my tinnitus has worsened. Does anyone else experience this? I was originally on 75mg 2x day but have dropped it to 50mg 2x day with same effects.
What is the lowest dose people have found beneficial? These drugs are tricky to balance.
Thanks

I got off gabapentin and now take pregabablin 75mg at night / 50mg in the morning, so far this has worked for me. Fortunately, headaches isn’t my problem, but getting a good night sleep pain free is an issue.

I am suffering from numbness in the right buttocks down the right leg and my right foot. I had that same numbness plus fairly severe pain from a pinched spinal chord due to spinal narrowing and disc deterioration (overly simple explanation). After spinal surgery the pain and the numbness were totally relieved. About a month ago the numbness reoccurred and seems to be getting worse at times-thankfully no pain yet. Pain management prescribed 150 mg pregabalin daily, advising I probably would have to take it at least a month for any results. Well, the after the first day the numbness noticeably lessened and the mental malaise (from another condition) I have suffered from for over a year greatly improved, all with no side effects! The numbness is still there, and I have gotten used to this level, so I am not sure if it is still working as well as when it was first started. Mentally it has restored my interest in living again! I am due to increase it to 300 mg-hopefully with more benefits. I really am averse to taking a lot of RX medications, but this one has been a god send for me.

Isn't Lyrica the same as Pregabalin? I get dizzy from 25 mg in the morning???

YES, Pregabalin is the generic version which is what most insurance companies will provide. I have taken this drug for about 2+ years, up to 200 mg now but need to increase again as my pain is not well-controlled. The only side effect is sleepiness. But I am 85, long-time retired so that is kinda okay. Slept till 11am this morning but am a night owl & rarely go to bed before 11-12pm.

I use a cane indoors & a walker outdoors or when away from home. I gave up driving 5 years ago. I am fortunate to live alone in a trailer on my son's property & have family near-by.

I’ve been on Lyrica 75mg 3x day for about four months. Makes m off balance and I get brain fog. Tried to go off but too-much pain. Gabapentin same. Left sacro- iliac peripheral neuropathy from a herniated disc.

Gabapentin made me see double.....after a few days, not sure. I was out of town and driving home and all of a sudden the oncoming cars appeared to be double. I almost thought I should call someone to come and get me. But, I noticed if I didn't look directly at them but look in my lane of traffic, I was o.k.....I slowed down to 55 and was stressed but felt I was doing ok after finding out not to turn my head to look directly at the oncoming traffic.
