New Meet Up Group?

I’m thinking of starting up a MEET UP group for couples whose spouse has dementia. I want to include the spouses too! It can be lunch, dinner, or just cocktails. Our friends have been thinning out and I’m beginning to feel totally isolated and lonely as I’m a 24/7 caretaker.
I’m not asking you to join because I know we are all over the place and I am in Sarasota, Fl. I want your honest opinion on this. Do you think it would work and worthwhile to pursue?
