Anyone taking Mirtazapine? Is it working for you? Any side effects?

Has anyone been taking Mirtazapine? Like to know if they have taken themselves off and how did you do it?

No good for me . Sorry everyone is different
Sertraline saved my life ( well my doctors did ) only used it for a week and I’m out of the ‘gutter ‘ so to speak . Wish you well ☺️

Yes, drowsiness making me feel dopey. I see my pnp tomorrow to hopefully tweak it down under 15 mg. That is a starting dose. Half a pill I think would be more better but we'll see. She's a tough cookie. I stopped group therapy as it was making me depressed. I'm on the road to happy destiny.

@cmarts
I took it for one day and needed to stop. It made me ravenous and I can’t afford to gain any weight. My understanding is it is known to cause weight gain and that it really shouldn’t be prescribed to people who should not gain weight, are at risk for diabetes/heart disease, joint issues, etc.

I take 7.5 m at bedtime. It helps with sleep but not so much with depression. I think that my dose is low. Going to ask about an increase to help with depression.

I am on week 4 of remeron for anxiety. Titrated from 7.5 to 15 mg. I think it has helped with no adverse side effects. Now I have been increased to 30 mg I am wondering if you take it at bed time or for example, an hour before. I am just nervous about increasing the dose. and looking for any tips from your experience. Ty.

@archie13 I have been on the 30 mg dose of Remeron for about 7 months. I started it before an upcoming surgery that caused severe anxiety. I take it either at bedtime or about 30 minutes before bedtime. I have had zero side effects. I live in a state where medical marijuana is legal and I also take 3 drops of an indica tincture on my tongue right as I turn out the light. Sleeping like a champ. No anxiety. Hope this helps. Wish you all the best.
