I've been told that long term use of steroids isn't recommended because it can cause damage to that joint. In my experience, it's affects lessened after each injection to the point that it didn't help at all.

1 ReactionHi, I’m LD, ive had crps for 18yrs. My pain clinic in Muskegon, Mi closed down 8/2024. I was on 60mgs methadone a day, and had to wean myself off it. My primary would fill norco, but not methadone. After 6 months of searching, I found Grand Rapids Pain. They took over my norco and were going to help me. My first visit, I sat with a spinal stimulator rep who informed me of the 3 new styles of stims, and which would I like… I already had one 10 yrs earlier and had it taken out because the crps spread further in my leg. When I informed them of this, they told me they were sorry, and were going to wean me off the norco. Crps… with Tylenol only… I’m about ready to find an attorney. This is wrong on so many levels. Unbelievable that they would intentionally torture a patient like this. Unreal. No conscience, just a money grab selling stims. Man I’d like to sue for the amount of pain they caused.

6 ReactionsHello Kelsey,
My name is Carleton. Tomorrow I will have received my third Ketamine infusion in an effort to control pain from progressive nerve damage (presumed delamination) received in life-saving radiation prostate cancer therapy ten years ago, and more recent spinal restructuring as a result of osteoarthritis, scoliosis and a broken neck.
I would appreciate chattingwith anyone experienced with Ketamine.

3 ReactionsMy adult daughter has chronic pain throughout her body . It began in her hands , then neck and upper back , then feet , so much so that she now needs a wheelchair . The only diagnosis the doctor's could come up with is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome . The only time she's gotten any relief at all was when she went to the ER at the hospital and they gave her a combination of ketamine , and a morphine related drug . We tried ketamine afterwards , and it didn't work . As for the morphine , can't get that outside the hospital and it's highly addictive . We would like to see what the doctor would say about methadone injections . Has anyone with chronic pain tried this and gotten any relief ?

2 ReactionsMy Sister passed away from multiple myeloma. She had severe pain. Nothing helped till the Hospice nurse prescribed methadone. It was a miracle. So, it’s definitely worth a try for your daughter. Doctors seem to be working with their hand tied behind their backs when it comes to pain.

1 ReactionHi - I am a 65-year-old individual with a four-decade history of complex, multifocal pain. My history is notable for severe hemolytic anemia, chronic bone infarcts, extensive orthopedic trauma and
subsequent surgical interventions—including cervical and lumbar spinal fusions and multiple
left knee arthroplasties—and laboratory evidence of significant systemic inflammation.
Sorry for the formal intro but I found cut and paste too easy. I look forward to hearing insights from the group.

I had meds taken away . No time to wean off . I can’t complain as my doctors apparently isnt in charge of this
My doctor tries everything but nothing works now . Saying that I refuse ketamine drugs like that. They get you addicted than take it away . It’s disgusting. Anyways I hope you get help you need . Take care

1 ReactionI don't know if I've introduced myself or not . My name is Kerry , and I am mainly here for my 29 year old daughter Priscilla , who has been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome , and has chronic pain throughout her body ,
mainly hands , neck and feet . The only thing that ever helped a combination of ketamine and morphine in the ER . We tried ketamine afterwards , and it didn't help . Now we are investigating methadone injections . Has anyone tried this for chronic pain , and what were the results ? Thank you .
