Does anyone wake up daily at 3am?

I have problems falling sleep. I haven’t able to have good night sleep as fatas I can remember. Went I finally fell sleep I have broken sleep pattern, and I wake up every night at 3am, I do not know why and I cannot fall sleep again, sometimes I go back to sleep at 6am. I do not feel refreshed in the morning. I have black circle under my eyes from the lack of sleep. Also feel irritated, sad, and brain fog/forgetful from lack of sleep. This is terrible. Any one have similar issues. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I am, it seems, in your same boat! I can get to sleep with Melatonin plus Celebrex plus l-theanine plus Gabapentin BUT I still wake up and manage to get back to sleep. I have chronic pain / inflammation. My sleep doctor suggests I likely (may) have Fibromyalgia. I am interested if anyone has experience with Cymbalta (Duloxetine) as an alternative to Gabapentin. Thank you.

Yes, it happens to many folks. I went to a seminar on sleep and couldn't believe how many ppl wake up at 3 am. We were given a remedy.
Boil a banana, with peel on it and both ends cut off. Wait until the liquid gets a bit murky and thickens. Drink that before bed. It works!

"Boil a banana, with peel on it and both ends cut off. Wait until the liquid gets a bit murky and thickens. Drink that before bed" That I have to try! By "peel on it", do you mean not peeling the banana and just cutting ends off??? How much water when you boil it?

I wake up several times, but 3 am seems to be the most popular time when I can’t get back to sleep. I’ll give the banana a try. But how much water for 1 banana?

Please! For all you claiming to "give the banana a try". Did it work?

Yes I do. I call them sleep headaches. I’ve had them all my life. I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder and put on AEDs, which helped me maintain sleep and it works most nights. I also have a CPAP machine, and multiple sleep studies showed I have obstructive sleep apnea, as I stop breathing over 19 times an hour. I have restless legs too.

Go to your general practitioner doctor and explain your condition and how long it’s been going on. They’ll look into it and help you with a treatment plan. It’s not something you can ignore. Sleep interruption and insomnia causes high blood pressure, obesity, brain and muscle disorders and more. I hope you find a solution

I wake up at 2AM every night but then, I wake up every 2 hours all night.
I am trying something I used to do every night years ago now. When I was working in a hospital, I would take a nice warm to hot tub bath every night just before bed. It would relax me and just get the ‘day’ off me. Feeling clean and getting into a clean bed, I would read for about 30 minutes, a real book not iPad . I would only wake once or twice a night and fall back to sleep. The other thing was having a box fan running on low for white noise. I have heard green noise helps with sleep to but the YouTube ones all have ads that wake you, counter productive.
I am sorry you are suffering and I hope someone in here has options to share that will work for you, Kasey7

I have a Spaberry two-person hot tub just off our back door deck. For years now, I have gotten into it and begun the process of shutting off my overactive mind. I look at the skies to see stars (amateur astronomer with several different types of telescopes), pray, sing to myself, and within 15 minutes I am abed and experiencing my 'turnover' twitches. Two, three of those and I turn from my back onto either side, and within a couple of minutes I'm 'gone.' 😀
