Hi, I am hoping others are looking for a positive and quick way to quick smoking! I should have done this long ago but here I am! Any comments would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Nicorette gum works for me. COSTCO has their own brand which is less expensive. I believe that Target does also. Some use the patch...make a plan and work it. Success is yours.
I am so happy that I no longer smoke.....do I still think about? Sure. It is abt 4.5 years.
I thank God for my smoking cessation. The cost and never forget the odor on your hair, clothing, etc. Quite gross.
We had just buried my mom after my 3 sisters and I had taken care of her for about 7 months. Our mom and 1 sister lived near each other in one state, the other 3 of us lived in 3 different states. We swapped out weekly staying from Sunday to Sunday. We hired a sitter to come each Sunday morning and stay until the next sister arrived.
Our mother had vascular dementia. It was after burying our mom that I started thinking that I was a smoker and I didn’t want my children to have to take of me or watch me die from a self inflicted disease.
I gave up every habit that went along with my smoking, coffee, Diet Mt Dew. I kept mints on hand and only drank water. I never smoked when I ate a mint or drank water.
I had 3/4 of a pack and I smoked one after another until I couldn’t smoke anymore.
I never smoked another cigarette. I didn’t use a patch or gum. That was 10 years ago this past April.
I hope you are able to quit !

4 ReactionsThanks for the post I am trying to quit as well and I have the spray and gum to help with the cravings, so far I have really cut back but it is that first smoke in the morning with coffee that is the toughest.

1 ReactionWhat is a nicotine divide imI?
As with any addiction a person has to be "entirely ready to quit. That sounds like it might be easy but it is not-you have to be sure, with absolutely no reservations what so ever. Sounds simple, but sometimes it hard to know. It comes down to the fact that your desire to quit smoking has to be greater than your desire to smoke! I had a hell of a time, but I did quit smoking and no matter how much I want to smoke at times I just don't. I also don't want to give up over a year of being clean from that terrible habit! I know, at this point anyway, that just one puff and I'm off those the never ending races again!

2 ReactionsAfter 40 years of three packs per day my aneurysm convinced me to stop.
Hypnotist recommended I buy the most disgusting brand to me (Salems), go to my favorite place to smoke and do the whole pack in one hour With two cigarettes left I have not had an urge to smoke again, not even a single cigarette Six years ago
The practioner taught me how to stop reaching for lighter and packs

40 years ago I was sitting in my cubicle. I had just returned to my house of company after being with another company. I walked into my cubicle. I had 3 cigarettes left. I walked out of my cubicle, walked outdoors to the designated smoking area. I threw the 3 cigarettes into the trash can along with the empty pack. I returned to my cubicle. Along the way I went back to a drinking fountain where I began my routine. WATER 💦 WATER 💦 💦. Every day for 40+ years. To this routine I added over the years physical fitness that included jogging, swimming, camping, hiking, cross country skiing. Pick whatever you might like. 👍
I wish you the best. This commitment will be life transforming.
