Trying to lower my cholesterol and triglycerides
I’m trying to find a supplement to help lower my triglycerides without taking and prescribed medication. Fish oil give my bad heart flutters.

Given the importance of low cholesterol and low triglycerides to heart health, why would you seek to avoid proven medical solutions?
An example of dangerous self medication may be as you stated ... you started taking fish oil supplements and have heart flutters ... was this confirmed by a PCP or cardiologist?
Why? Read the latest info about taking those.

Even though I am not a medical professional I like to listen to a CME (continuing medical education) podcast by Mayo Clinic Cardiology. They put one out June 3, 2025 about “supplements for cardiovascular prevention”. I like this because it gives me some insight into where my providers perspective may be coming from, then I can have a better conversation with them.
