Problems walking after covid

Posted by hopefuliny @hopefuliny, Apr 27, 2024

My mother caught covid for the first time in the hospital after surgery a couple of months ago (don’t get me started on how lax hospitals are with covid protocols) and since that time she has problems walking. She either has to use a Walker or wheelchair depending on the day. Her legs will suddenly feel heavy or like “jelly legs” and give out on her. Has anyone else had this reaction. She had the same reaction after the first couple of moderna vaccines but they went away after a day.

Thank you all.

I have had ME/CFS for over 40 years, but never had trouble walking until I got Covid twice in 2022-23. My balance is awful and sometimes my legs feel like tree trunks I am dragging around. Two things, however have helped. I had three reflexology treatments. This is an ancient modality actually dating back to Egyptian days. Supposedly different parts of your feet relate to different organs of your body. I know is sounds a little out there, but I have been able to make two trips since then without using a cane. (Anne Romney, wife of the former presidential candidate Mitt Romney used reflexology to get her out of a wheel chair after she was diagnosed with MS.) The other help was changing my walking pattern from tiny shuffling steps to try to keep my balance to larger steps with heel to toe walking and swinging my arms. It is amazing that I can walk so much better, not as good as before Covid, but improving all the time.

Oh yea, we’ve used reflexology and it has helped us immensely. She retired a few yrs ago and haven’t been to any.

It used to stop an asthma attack the day she did the treatment and I had other things helped.

I read about natural health doctors using rhe nicotine patches. I’m trying that this week. They say take a 7 mg nicotine patch they come in 21 and 14 also but take a 7 mg patch cut it into three parts and only wear one of those parts per day that’s a little over 2 mg of nicotine wear it until supper or bedtime and do this for a few weeks. Many people have stated how much help they have gotten. Many people have said they have no symptoms, but if you take too high of a dose, you can end up with nausea, vomiting, headache, shaky, anxiety, tired, and dizziness can’t sleep things like that I would go very slow, but at this point, I’m trying this

Did you think onto acupuncture. We used it for things also. As worth all things look into the person. Read their website and know who you’re going to.

There are intelligent and less then in all health care
Worth trying what we can.
I’ve noticed mostly natural products help cov

I’ve also heard of upper cervical chiropractic helping cov. Pots, cfs.
They say that is caused by many things even a virus can cause it. Just praying you find something to help out. Don’t give up hope😍

Three years and three months ago I had the Moderna booster. Immediately I was unstable walking, which got worse as days went on. I kept waiting for it to go away, used a walker sometimes, and was very fatigued. A year and a couple months later I saw a neurologist and had a nerve conducive test. He said it appeared that I had guillaine barre syndrome. Nothing was recommended or prescribed. I continued with physical therapy and rest thinking my life was about to end this way, I had retired just five months before the booster. Then in this last July, I read about nattokinase, and began taking it twice daily. In just a couple weeks I noticed a difference! Now it is six months later and I feel 80-85 percent improved! Am so excited to think I have some life left.
