Any experience with Nexletol or Nexlezet?
I’ve had bad side effects with rosuvastatin, atorvastatin, and especially praluent. My doctor is now recommending Nexletol. Has anyone had similar intolerance with statins that has tried Nexletol or Nexlezet?

What problems did you have with Repatha?
I forgot about the fish and alcohol, same here. I have low triglycerides as well. It will be interesting to see the impact of discontinuing rosuvastatin.
I didn’t connect my symptoms to Repatha until the night following my 9th injection. I was startled awake thinking I forgot to breathe. Of course, that doesn’t happen. I realized it had been creeping up on me, pain in my right chest area, I ate tons of peppermint, and there was a cognitive component.
I was on Lovastatin for years, but the side effects became intolerable. Side effects included muscle pain, joint pain in my right big toe, and pain in my left calcaneal tendon. Subsequently, doc tried two other statins, Rosuvastatin and Atorvastatin. Side effects were worse. Had a good heart calcium score, so I went off all statins for a while with no substitutes. All side effects subsided. Recently, cholesterol levels were pretty high, so I asked doc if I could try something that isn't a statin. She put me on Nexletol, which I've been taking for just a little over two weeks. I've had some nausea almost every day. I've already had joint pain in my right big toe and pain in my left calcaneal tendon, but it's intermittent and not as bad as when I was on statins. Now I am experiencing bad abdominal pain and diarrhea. It has happened twice after eating nightshades (tomatoes and red bell peppers). I've never had a problem with nightshades in the past. I can't find any information as to whether or not others have experienced nightshade intolerance or sensitivity while on Nexletol. I would love to hear from anyone who is experiencing diarrhea while on Nexletol; if they noticed it happened after eating certain foods, especially nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, eggplant); and if they never had problems with those foods prior to taking Nexletol.
I was placed on Nexlizet and after a few months developed gout. Was really bad and had to see a doctor, placed on prednisone for 1 month to clear that up. At the same time I developed a urinary issue and could not hardly pee. Was terrible. Also developed a tendon and muscle cramps in one of my legs. Cardiologist took me off the medication and said there was nothing else he could offer me. Good luck if u try the med but it was really scary with the side effects I had.

2 ReactionsThanks for your post. Nexletol is my last resort. I’ve had bad side effects from statins and praluent. Sounds like you are in a similar situation.
I had started Nexletol but stopped after my AFib returned (just periodically). I was thinking of starting again but I have been very strict with my diet and my LDL is around 90 without any meds.
I haven’t had a single side effect with Nexletol. Believe me, I was filled with fear to take it…looked at the samples my doc gave me for a month, but when I finally took it…nada. I hope it works for you! 🙏🙏🙏
All the best, Vania

2 ReactionsI can’t tolerate statins but 20 mg. pravastatin which wasn’t really working. Higher dosages had bad side effects. Repatha almost destroyed my GI system, very rare occurrence. Took Nexletol alone, just now adding back prevastatin. Future plans are to add zetia and start low dosage aspirin.
Me neither and really bringing down all numbers.
I’m taking Nexletol and Zetia separately rather than Nexlizet with no issues. LDL is about 70.
