What makes us happy. And you?

We love going to Costco. Dan sits in the food court and has his hot dog and soda while I do the shopping. He waits for me there. I then show him the receipt and we laugh about what sometimes is surely the world's most expensive hot dog! What makes you happy?

Wow, Scott! You actually got to sit across the table from your:

BEST friend;
THE love of your life; AND
THE woman of your dreams?

How fantastic! Overjoyed for you because:
I had the same thing until last month.

Please make sure you tell her often, hug her every day, kiss her cheek, lie close to her in bed, tell her how much you'll miss her when the two of you separate... and that you'll never forget her.

Warm regards,

/LarryG

Oh, yes. She has been so good to me our entire marriage -- but especially since my stroke.

I don't want her to ever feel unappreciated, so I make sure she knows how much I love her.

A big milestone in my recovery was when I could hug her with both arms!

Last week what made me happy was transplanting 16 new cacti and setting them in the patio at the center of our house. Then, on Monday I finally planted some shoots of a "mala madre" in 16 pots for my front yard.

What made me happy was that my family was together for a wedding. My oldest grandson. They had us bring pics of our wedding day. I was feeding my spouse cake. It snowed that day. My mother had a beautiful heart . She had all kinds of food. My husband lost the heat in his car ...brrh It was family and I was so scared and happy at the same time. Thank you for this site and the wonderful people on it!!!💕

I would say laughing and talking about year's ago . Going for a ride in the car, my spouse has limited tolerance to walking and sometimes he apologizes. I am concerned of course. We do go out to eat at his favorite restaurant. He like when he gets his sweet potatoes fries. He is clear headed most of the time. I have known him since high school. He walked into the classroom and sat near me . I was taken and so was he. We have been married over 50 years. Our last trip was on our 50th Anniversary. Little did I know he would be unable to celebrate our anniversary the same since. He has been through so much and honestly he does not deserve it. Parkinsons is an awful condition. He hugged and kissed me good night..everyday that goes by I wonder will he be here in the morning. 💞🫂

After Covid we traveled together. An Alaska Cruise for 50th Wedding Anniversary/delayed. We took several international trips. Recently a birthday trip to San Diego. Very challenging. I love the idea of bus and local day trips.

I totally get it! Everyday is a new chance to love them. I can say it is difficult to deal with the down times and the ugliness. I try to redirect and it usually works. Pray for us as I will for you and your wife. We both just found out we have cataracts. Seeing the specialist tomorrow. Life goes on good and bad!! 🫂

Travel here too. We took a 25 day 2500 mile road trip in my Prius. Kept us both happy. I’m planning an October trip to Santa Fe.
