I have some questions about having surgeries on Camzyos...

I need a couple surgeries (hip replacement, prostate, colonoscopy/endoscopy...). Now that my HOCM is obstructive and I'm taking Camzyos, I am concerned about anesthesia. Also about being able to have echocardiograms while recovering, especially from a prostate surgery where I might not be able to do Valsalva maneuver during echocardiogram until i'm recovered. Have any of you had anesthesia after starting Camzyos? How did they address these concerns?

I had a surgery on my hand right before camzyos treatment.
They almost did not do the surgery because because they knew i had some heart issues going on, they reached out to cardiologist and after some discussion decided to do the surgery but not put me completely under.
Those will be good discussions for you and the surgeon to have with your cardiologist:)

I just had a complete hysterectomy and there wasn’t a problem with Camzyos. The anesthesiologist will consult with your cardiologist
