Cannabis oil and Immunotherapy: Are they compatible?

Posted by cheung @cheung, Feb 14, 2019

Are they compatible, I.e. taking CO while having immunotherapy? Any experience from anybody who use both?

***Note from the Community Director***
Research continues to indicate that CBD oil interferes with immunotherapy. Here are some references to consider:

As with any complementary therapy, you should always talk with your oncologist. Complementary therapies can interact negatively with immunotherapy or chemotherapies and/or reduce their effectiveness.

@giurgiua

English translation from Google translate:
Yes, I am about to start Chemo-Immunotherapy and I am currently taking CBO.
It seems that the oncologist professor does not agree to continue with CBO and I do not know what to do?
Even after a few days I cannot resume CBO?
I have small cell carcinoma

Hi @giurgiua, I used Google translate to translate your message from Romanian to English.

Cannabis (CBD oil) can interfere with some treatments for lung cancer. It sounds like your oncologist is recommending to not use CBD oil with the type of treatment you are receiving.
