Long Covid and brain fog
I don’t mean to complain but I was an author of 10 books and that long covid gave me brain fog so bad I couldn’t remember what I ate for lunch the day before my writing skill went down such a drastic level, it’s just not fair I can’t even write 4 years after this started, it’s so incredibly much harder.

Due you think it could be a combo of writers block plus fog?
So sorry to hear that. Not a writer but was dealing with the brain fog symptoms for a while. Came and went for me. Good luck.
So sorry! I can relate, only my difficulty is reading. In 2023, I read 75 books. Then I got Covid (for the fourth time!), and I don't think I've read a whole book since. Ugh.
Hi,
That is awful about your brain fog! Plus after you wrote 10 books! I admire you for that. My husband had lung cancer. At one point they gave him the wrong medicine when he got a CT scan. It gave him brain fog. I did some research and discovered that drinking a lot of water and also drinking Gatorade would help alleviate the brain fog. It did help him a lot. The brain fog finally went away. You also might make certain that you are getting enough vitamins and nutrients; especially iron. The Covid probably took a lot of that out of your body and it needs to be replaced.
Talk to God about your problem. He's always there for us. He made you and he can fix you. I'll say a prayer for you also.
Happy Easter!

Hi @johnnyboy. So sorry this has happened to you and not making light of it in any way as so many lives decimated by this.
It sounds so simple but a common recovery strategy is slow and steady relearning for our bodies without pushing our limits too far which create setbacks of any kind. Reading, writing, typing take energy and maybe track how you are feeling after 5 min vs 15min? I go further with talking on phone while writing or typing brings on excruciating symptoms🙃. Hope this helps you find your comfortable baseline to slowly build up tolerated time and enjoy that amazing creative spirit! Quickest healing to you🌈

Very informative.
Perhaps brain exercises may help. I do crossword puzzles. I noticed I must focus on where I put each item in order to remember where I can go back and find it, but I am pushing 79 so age may be a factor. I've only had long covid for 14 1/2 months.
