@laughlin1947 - Good morning. I do not know the names of the bio-identical drugs used. Maybe I should? My pellets are compounded especially for me with dosage driven by my specific hormone levels at the time. I'd suggest you search for "compounded drugs" on the net and learn about this part of pharmacology that is generally not understood by the general public. I first started using a compounded drug to treat ED as directed by my Mayo docs. I trusted them not to steer me wrong.

You are actually discussing what can be two different issues: (1) ED and (2) Low libido. For me, management includes two different strategies. Hip-inserted bio-identical pellets for low-T and syringe-injected tri-mix to manage ED. Both treatments are necessary.

Anyway, I'll just work out a strategy with my endocrinologist and I'm hopeful there is light at the end of the tunnel. Seems like this should not be so difficult of a problem to solve knowing that so many men are affected. The urologists are preoccupied with treating UTIs and whatnot.

I recently went to a highly qualified urologist, and he was equally unhelpful. He immediately went to the only options for me were 1.) Injections (probably Trimix), and 2.) Penile implant.
nothing else. Then he rushed out of the room and that was it for my appt. He dismissed my claim that free testosterone should be looked at. I do take losartan 50 mg and 200 mg of gabapentin, and I showed him my meds list and he barely glanced at the list, saying none of those are responsible. I'm trying another urologist soon as well as a surgeon who specializes in the penile implants. Still gotta press on with the doctors. Most act like they could care less. Read the blogs on this Mayo Clinic website, you must be ab advocate for yourself. Read up. If you go online, look at anecdotal videos of men of all ages and what they went thru before getting to get a penile implant.

Go to a urologist that ED is his specialty... when you look up drs in your plan you will find some that treat ED as part of their practice .. I went through the same thing for years before they start putting stents in my heart ... then found out 6 of my meds could cause sexual issues .. if you end up needing an implant don't wait too long like I did.

I have an ED problem. I take a generic Cialis 20mg. as needed. Which seem to help, some what. I can get an
erection, but don't shoot sperm. All I get is pre-cum. I'm 70 years old, in good health, exercise and do yoga.
I take fiber therapy and D-3 daily. Any suggestions? Your help would be greatly appreciated. One last thing
