This is as common as belly buttons. Anyone with a decent conscience and who loves at least one other person will naturally ruminate, worry, and fret over an undesired change in someone they know. Just clucking in sympathy is not often our style of being 'present' for them. We try to imagine what else can be done.
Some try Ambien, some try up to 5 mg of pill-form melatonin or gunnies, both at drug stores, some take Zopiclone or other soporifics, ALWAYS under doctor's orders and with a prescription. I would advise against using any of them two nights in a row. Try for two nights not using anything, and then try one the third night. This prevents habituation, or getting used to whatever you want to keep potent.

You can ask your Dr and for a mild medication for anxiety, or Trazodone, which helps makes you sleepy and 50mg is safe to take every night. When you feel better, you can taper off these medications. I take 2mg melatonin with my Trazodone for extra help feeling sleepy. I also use some CBN gummies with help also. I recommend the Minny Grown brand, which are 3rd party tested.

Hi, I'm new to this support group and blog posts.
I became a patient at Mayo Clinic Phoenix little less than 1 year ago.

Sleep became an issue for me because I'm a high anxiety person, but especially after what I've been through. I don't like using drugs to sleep.

I just wanted to share what really helped me sleep as well as relax during the day. I searched quite a while on YouTube looking for non-looping videos of nature that lasted hours so that I could sleep through the night, and keep the sounds of birds chirping in the background during the entire day.

I discovered it's really not that easy to find non-looping videos, looping is a big turn off to me. So I was looking for video recordings of the sounds of nature with no looping that lasted hours.

For reasons I don't understand, this seems to soothe my nervous system. Anyways I hope this helps somebody.
We are not allowed to post messages that include links and URLs so I listed the title of the videos on YouTube so you can look them up.

One more thing, whomever made these videos, I guess they are all made in the state of Georgia where it rains a lot. So there's a lot of good rain videos.
