Hi Sue, That's a great story. Thank you for sharing. I realize there are so many being brave enough to live even in the face of terminal illness. I try to remember that when my own anxiety threatens to paralyze me from living each day as best I can. I am doing pretty well. Life sure doesn't stop coming at you that's for certain.. so it's a blessing in a way to have distractions or other things to focus on to keep going. Still the anxiety will creep in sometimes and it takes more of an effort to keep it at bay but that's all any of us can do. Thanks for checking in with me! I hope all is well with you!

Find a project - or 2 or 3 - to distract yourself. I have handwork of a mindless sort I can do sitting on the couch on low energy/low brainpower days. I also watercolor with traditional watercolors or special pencils, and always have it handy - I often do small pics and send them to friends as get well or how are you cards. They are small, simple and in no way professional, but people seem to enjoy them. When I don't have the energyto mess with a brush, I study Spanish, French or a little math on Duo Lingo... And when I need to burn off some anxiety or irritation, I walk, weed or garden.
What can you do to fill your brain and crowd out the anxiety when it hits?
