Quite a week for wife, diagnosed with Alzheimers and Parkinson

Posted by geppetto @geppetto, Feb 23 10:08am

Tau plasma blood test showed Alzheimer's "present". Then DAT scan show suggestive of Parkinson's with Luey bodies. Should be quite a journey! Already forgetting to shower, speech is beginning to slur and walking gate is noticeably slower and deliberate.

I've seen some of those traits but are random at best. Along with what I read early on is "there is no cavalry coming" I find patience and understanding best ways to go.

Thank you for sharing. The progressive is astounding. Her age so young. You are amazing. Deep inside you know she senses who you are. At least that’s how I think. Sending warm wishes for your comfort.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm sure not the man I want to be but I hope God will continue to teach me to Love like He does. My wife has been such a blessing in my life. Even though I have Jesus, I feel lonely without my love with me all the time. Learning to live life without my wife by my side is overwhelming at times. But I am co.forted knowing the God has her in His hands. 🙏
